Missy's Corner

With one week of kitten love gone, I figured it would be nice to inform all my readers what's to come over the next few weeks. Don't worry! With every milestone there will be a new post and pictures galore!

Week 1:

• The kittens are little food processors, concentrating solely on feeding and growing. And boy have they grown! In just one week, they have doubled in size!

Week 2:

• Kittens eyes will slowly start to open and be completely open at 9 to 14 days old, which will be anywhere between Sunday and next Friday.
• Eyes will be blue and their pupils won't dilate and contract readily, so unfortunately, no pictures for a little while.
• Their sense of smell will also start to develop

Week 3:

• Here's when the fun begins! Kittens start to socialize with everyone!
• Ear canals are also completely open

Week 4:

• Baby teeth start to show
• Kittens learn to walk without stumbling... World beware! Missy beware too. By this time I have to learn how not to keep things on the floor.

Week 5:

• LITTER BOX BASICS! Its going to be interesting to see how litter training works. With a human child, you put the kid on the pot and reward like crazy when he or she goes. I wonder if Kitty shows them how to use the box?
• Just like human babies, kittens experiment by tasting everything!

Week 6:

• Kittens can run, pounce, leap, and entertain themselves and others! And fall asleep at the drop of the hat!
• Kittens go to the vet and get their shots, after that, anyone who wants one can have one!
